One Dojima Project, osaka
A dialogue between city energy and serene luxury
Rising above the vibrant Dojima district, the One Dojima Tower represents a new benchmark in ultra-luxury living in Osaka. The fifty-story mixed-use development brings together residential, diplomatic, hospitality, and public functions within a single sculptural landmark. As part of this ambitious project, Studio Piet Boon designed all public spaces, the diplomatic headquarters, and the show apartment, completed in 2021. The tower is scheduled for completion in 2024.

A city shaped by water and culture
The design draws inspiration from Osaka’s heritage as a historic port city—a place defined by trade, connection, and a deep culinary tradition. Water, ever-present in the city’s character, informs the spatial narrative of the interiors. The concept embraces dualities: the convergence of tradition and innovation, and the contrast between the urban rhythm outside and the quiet serenity within. Carefully curated art pieces contribute to a unified experience, adding cultural depth and continuity throughout the interiors.

A refined palette shaped by light
The show apartment and public spaces are defined by a subdued, fresh palette that feels both luxurious and calm. Reflective, high-quality materials echo the shimmer of the surrounding city and water, subtly blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior. Through an interplay of textures, volumes, and transparencies, the design achieves a harmonious atmosphere that is contemporary and contemplative. The result is an environment that surprises through nuance—inviting guests to slow down, notice the details, and feel the contrast with the bustling city below.
Creating an unparalleled residential destination
Every element of the tower’s interior experience is designed at the highest level, reflecting the client’s ambition to create an ultra-high-luxury residential destination combined with hotel-grade amenities. From the sky lobby with bar to the multifunctional communal areas and outdoor terraces, each space is imagined as part of a seamless, elevated lifestyle. The show apartment encapsulates this vision, offering a serene retreat with a refined aesthetic language rooted in craftsmanship and understated sophistication.

TWO – architecture distilled into hardware
The TWO collection, designed in collaboration with Studio Piet Boon, aligns naturally with the project’s architectural clarity. Defined by its balance of symmetry and tactility, TWO features a bold intersection of geometries—where the cylindrical grip meets the flat-fronted body in a precise, sculptural transition. This combination of softness and structure mirrors the project’s guiding principles: harmony, contrast, and refinement. In this project, the full stainless-steel execution of the TWO series was used, enhancing the sense of purity and material honesty within the design. In the show apartment, TWO subtly elevates doors, windows, and cabinetry, reinforcing the interior’s clean lines and serene material palette with its timeless presence and meticulous detailing.
