iF DESIGN AWARD 2024 Winner
RIVIO by Gensler

Our RIVIO hardware collection, designed in collaboration with Gensler serving as product design consultant, won the 2024 iF Design Award in the Building Technology category. It includes entry door, window, and furniture fittings. The collection's seamless transition from light to solid impressed the 132-member jury, while its flowing cutaways enhance both aesthetics and user experience. We are delighted by this recognition and are eager to offer you firsthand experience.

ECLIPSE by David Rockwell

The ECLIPSE door handle by David Rockwell is the RedDot Award-Winner in the ‘Product Design’ category of 2021. This amazing design with his remarkable silhouette has a cylindrical form with a curved, carved channel with an inflection point that optimally meets the hand’s grasp. The door handle is manufactured as one piece, allowing the moon-like detailing to continue seamlessly along the entire length of the arm and over the curve to the start of the neck. The Jury commented with:  ‘Ergonomically sophisticated and unconventional in its design, this door handle series proves equally impressive in practice.’ This door handle forms part of the complete ECLIPSE hardware collection, which consists of door fittings, window fittings, furniture fittings, and other accessories. The ECLIPSE series are available in satin stainless steel, PVD satin black, bronze and PVD satin gold, causing a beautiful example of a timeless and revolutionary design.

In 2022 the sophisticated design has also been awarded the ‘Australian Good Design Award’. 

RedDot Design Award 2021
CONE by Osiris Hertman

The CONE door handle has won the 2021 Red Dot Design Award in the ‘Product Design’ category. The Jury commented: ‘The design of the CONE door handle combines strictly minimalist design with sophisticated manufacturing quality to produce an expressive unit’. The winning CONE door handle is part of the total concept collection consisting of door, window, and furniture fittings as well as accessories. The CONE series is available in two finishes: our latest PVD satin black and satin stainless steel.

German Design Award 2020
ARC by Piet Boon

Our door handle from the ARC series by Piet Boon was the winner of the German Design Award 2020 ‘Excellent product design’ category. The clean lines and geometric shapes of this series are defined by its no-nonsense appeal. The design was created by dividing a cylinder volume in half, which gives the ARC its characteristic flat side and a side defined by an arc. Our shapely ARC series stood out to the Jury thanks to its powerful lines and tactile properties. The comments from the jury were that ‘the semi-gloss surface emphasizes the shapely, timelessly elegant design of the door handle. At the same time, it creates a very high-quality impression and appeals to the touch’ (German Design Award, 2020). Our ARC series is available in satin stainless steel and PVD satin black. 

RedDot Design Award 2019
INC by Piet Boon 

Our INC door handle by Piet Boon won this prestigious award in the ‘Product Design’ category in 2019. The INC hardware series is characterized by its smooth curves and excellent grip. The basis of the design is a circular cylinder volume, where flattening the circle and tapering the end resulted in the smooth inclination after which the INC is named. The jury’s comments on the design were that ‘the ingenious design of the INC door handle blends a flowing yet powerful design vocabulary with pleasant haptic properties’ (Red Dot, 2019). Our INC series is available in satin stainless steel or PVD satin black and are therefore suitable for every interior.

TENSE by Bertram Beerbaum

The basis of the FORMANI by Bertram Beerbaum TENSE series design is a cylindrical element to which each lever is attached in its own unique way. This fascinating design was the winner of the German Design Award Special 2016 ‘Excellent product design building’ category and offers a clear, robust, yet chic aesthetic design. The TENSE series is available in the satin stainless steel, satin black and our newest bronze finish.

BOSCO by Lázaro Rosa-Violán

The FORMANI BOSCO by Lázaro Rosa-Violán series combines elegance and classicism with a design that offers modern functionalities. Winner of the German Design Awards 2017 ‘Excellent product design building’ category, this classic, vintage design received a great deal of praise from the jury: ‘Thanks to the use of high-quality materials and finishes, the handles have a striking design of great elegance that highlights features in a sophisticated ambience.’

Besides the German design award, our BOSCO by Lázaro Rosa-Violán series were nominated for this renowned award in 2017. The designer’s vision of ‘opening doors from the past into the future’ is clearly represented in the design of the series. The architectural hardware creates a unique space, having its own personality where people feel comfortable.

The BOSCO series is available in the following finishes: satin stainless steel/satin black, satin stainless steel/marble, polished stainless steel/satin black, polished stainless steel/marble, brass unlacquered /satin black, and brass unlacquered/marble.

Special Mention 2015
NOUR by Edward van Vliet

The German Design Council awards the prestigious German Design Award annually in its capacity as an independent and internationally active institute. It honours designers and their unique designs for pioneering products and projects. One of the ‘Special Mention’ winners of the German Design Award 2015 is our NOUR series by Edward van Vliet. 
The NOUR collection is available in satin gold, satin black and polished stainless steel. Thanks to the modular structure, the grips can be replaced and other colours substituted. This allows for a variety of wonderful combinations of polished stainless steel, PVD satin gold, satin black and satin white. 
 

Iconic Award 2015
Product winner
RIBBON by Bob Manders

The Iconic Award, also known as ‘the trend barometer of the interior design industry’, praises only the cream of the crop in the furniture and interior design scene, and we were privileged to receive this reward for our Ribbon series by Bob Manders. The RIBBON design is all about an interlinked structure with a continued sense of movement and momentum, where the spaces flow into one another. The design finds its uniqueness in how the parts are welded together as one piece. The design won an Iconic Award in 2015 and is available in the satin black and satin stainless steel finish. 
 

RedDot Design Award 2013
FOLD by Tord Boontje

The ‘Red Dot’ award for high design quality, expressing innovation in form and function in an exemplary manner, was presented to FORMANI FOLD by Tord Boontje. The FOLD range of door handles differs fundamentally from traditional models by innovatively combining the classic components of a door fitting – rosette, neck, and handle – into one single element. This is achieved thanks to an astute system that is mounted in much the same way as a bayonet system. The result: the door appears to float on the door. The jury’s comments: ‘Not only is the technical concept of this door handle innovative, but also the implementation of the design down to the last ingenious detail.’
