Renovation of a contemporary white town house
When architect Mathieu Bruls started the renovation of the beautiful, contemporary, white town house in the centre of Maastricht it was little more than an old, ugly building. But, by employing what Bruls calls ‘architectural domesticated modernism’, he transformed this town house into a large family home with a spectacular stairwell as the focal point.

Conceptual focus
Mathieu Bruls selected the EDGY series of door fittings for this project. This collection, which he designed for FORMANI®, is a direct visualization of his concept sketch. This visualization is a response to social streams; effecting and creating with a focus on only that which is necessary. This focus also contributes to economic optimization on the one hand and, on the other hand, just like meditation, brings insight and tranquillity.
